Right now I'm loading IMR 4350 and I'm satisfied but I'm very interested in Hodgdon powder. I'm also working up a load for a another caliber right now and have been getting very consistent velocity and accuracy with H4350 compared to IMR 4350. H4350 looks like it will do just fine, in the velocity area for the range of 257 weight of bullets. I plenty of both powders, but have heard RL 17 gives better velocity. People claim H4350 is the perfect powder for the Creedmoor, so naturally I thought IMR 4350 would be a good choice. But I would definitely enjoy the velocity that RL 17 seems to produce. So....H4831SC performed the best in my old 338WM w/ a 24" barrel. After testing H4350, IMR 4350 and Ramshot Hunter in my rifle, 4831SC was the most consistent. I went straight to it for my new 26" 338WM and it didn't disappoint. The "SC" flows fine in my Redding LR-1000.The H is a tiny bit slower, and you'll see that you can go just a bit higher before you see pressure troubles.
